"Boca do Lixo" was truly the real Sin City.
Boca do Lixo Cinema is the collective name for a film genre associated with the Boca do Lixo ("Mouth of Garbage") downtown area of São Paulo, Brazil, in the late 70's until the beginning of the 80's - at that time an area with a vast concentration of film offices and studios. On par with French Nouvelle Vague and American Slasher, the movies were exploitational by nature and often considered B movies, constantly featuring strong erotic related themes.
The underworld of Boca de Lixo resulted in a seminal underground production of low-budget exploitation films with superficial content, always focusing in the subversive side of the brazilian life style of that period - many of them are now getting rediscovered around the world and considered cult movies.
This collection of posters brings the Butcher treatment to the best of the worst of that genre, also featuring a version inspired by the style printed by Frank Miller in his graphic novels - because, as you should know, Boca do Lixo was the real Sin City.

Entre dramas, tragédias e as populares pornochanchadas, a Boca do Lixo representou o underground brasileiro explorando temas marginais como a crítica à sociedade hipócrita e a ditadura, e a degradação da moral e dos bons costumes - sempre com forte apelo erótico - através de obras de escritores e dramaturgos seminais como Nelson Rodrigues.
Essa coleção apresenta também uma versão influenciada pelo estilo de Frank Miller para as graphic novels de Sin City - porque, afinal, a Boca do Lixo foi a verdadeira Cidade do Pecado.
